I left a life that looked successful from the outside but felt hollow on the inside.
For 17 years I had the stable job, the dream house, the life that looked great on paper. Then, on Valentine’s Day 2025, while everyone was sipping margaritas, my wife Anita and I sat down at a Mexican restaurant and made a list that changed everything.
Six months later, we sold the house, sold most of what we owned, and moved to Costa Rica. I slowed down in ways I didn’t know I needed to, reignited my creativity, and chose a life I wanted to live instead of one I thought I was supposed to.
